Honour for RBU animation art expert

MOHALI: Parminder Singh Roobal, Head of Rayat Bahra University's School of Animation Art and Design, was honoured at national level as he was selected as Chief Expert of 3D Digital Game Art at IndiaSkills Nationals by the Media and Entertainment Skill Council of India held at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre.

Top candidates in 3D Game Art were selected from different states of India to participate in the national competitions. He was responsible for working with top-notch jury members from the country to select one candidate who will represent the country in the Internationals at Worldskills 2024 France.

Thirteen contestants from the following states had made it to the nationals of 3D Digital Game Art.

Media and Entertainment Skill Council of India for honoring the expertise of top industry professionals working at Rayat Bahra and bestowing such big responsibility on them."

"We are proud of the experts at Rayat Bahra University for contributing at such a level in promoting futuristic skills in the country and realising the Skill India Mission of the government, " Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh said.

The prestigious jury members he worked with included the world-renowned artist and director Vichar BN, Art Director at Technicolor Games, the only Beta tester for Zbrush from the country; Prasad Salvi, 3D Game Art and AR/VR expert Design Manager at Encora; and Abhinav Verma who represented India in this skill at Goyang, South Korea last time.

Before this he was actively involved with different State Councils of the country to select the best 3D Game Art candidate. He was personally invited by the Maharashtra government for the purpose earlier.
