Desh Bhagat University signs MoU with Hola India

MANDI GOBINDGARH: In a development that furthers Desh Bhagat University’s commitment to advancing internationalization of higher education in India as outlined in the National Education Policy the Desh Bhagat University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hola India Company in collaboration with the Complutense University of Madrid to promote Spanish Language in India.

This MoU was signed by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, and Francisco Javier Sierra Pastor, President, Hola India Company.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Gabriel Castellano, Vice-President, Ignacio Castellano, Board Member, Hola India, Gurdeepak Singh, Adviser Hola India, Amit Shawney, Board Member, Hola India, and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, President Dr. Sandeep Singh, Vice-President Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh, Dean Acamemics Dr. L.S. Bedi, Registrar Dr Charanjeet Kaur Sohi, and other dignitaries of the Desh Bhagat University.

Chancellor, Dr. Zora Singh, welcomed the development and said, "The MOU demonstrates the commitment of Desh Bhagat University and Hola India to advancing the study of Spanish language, literature, and cultures in India. Desh Bhagat University is proud to join the burgeoning field of Spanish language studies in India. The number of Spanish-speaking people in the world today exceeds 500 million. Students at Desh Bhagat University will be able to make the most of the wide-ranging teaching expertise of Indian and foreign faculty members possessing the highest level of language training and proficiency."

Francisco Javier Sansierra Pastor, President, Hola India Company, in his address congratulated Desh Bhagat University on the signing of the MoU and also added that this MoU will facilitate the development of academic and cultural exchange between the two universities to teach Spanish language, culture, and literature. Francisco Javier Sansierra, the pastor, also answered the queries of students and motivated them to learn Spanish.

The Hola India delegates were honoured by the Chancellor Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Vice-President Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh, and other Desh Bhagat University faculty by presenting them with tokens of gratitude.
Later, the Hola India delegates honoured the Chancellor Dr Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur.
