Chandigarh group of colleges holds literature fest and Book fair organised

MOHALI: A Literature Festival and a book fair was organised by the Chandigarh group of colleges on 8 and 9 February in collaboration with The Great Indian Book Tour.

More than 30 authors from all over the country interacted with the students and discussed various aspects of literature including poetry writing in a number of Panel discussion sessions.

Also, interactive workshops on theatre and poetry were organised to help students hone their creative skills. Some of the leading authors who participated included- Raj Abhishek Singh from Orissa, Dr.Sonika Sethi from Ambala, Dr Ritu Kumar from Yamunanagar, lifecoach and poet Nazam Riar, author and podcaster Mubarak Sandhu, Nisha Luthra, author from Chandigarh Narinderjit Kaur from Patiala and Ridhima Batra.The authors were felicitated by the Director Student Welfare Gagandeep Bhullar.

A book fair was organised during the litfest that not only witnessed huge crowds of students who bought books at various stalls but also provided and opportunity to the students to learn about book publishing. Amandeep Singh, Water Activist attented the prog , said it's is a great platform for the author's to interact with the youth and young students and to share their experience with them, the workshops will help the students to enhance their writing skills.
