Bar Association, Patiala & Aryans College, Rajpura organizes a seminar on Cyber Security

MOHALI: “Cyber security” was discussed in a seminar jointly organized by Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh & Bar Association, Patiala. Adv Manvir S. Tiwana, President, Bar Association, Patiala & Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh graced the occasion as special guest. Dr. Anuj Kumar, Subject Expert & Faculty, Panjab University, Chandigarh, was the keynote speaker. Dr. Devinder Singla, Principal, Aryans College of Law & Prof. B S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group were present. Adv Jagdish Sharma, Secretary, Bar Association was also present.

Dr. Anuj highlighted the importance of cyber security in today’s world. Cybercrime is illegal activity that uses computers, the internet, or network devices for harm. Cybercriminals can commit identity theft, phishing scams, malware, and other digital attacks. He delivered a talk on the importance of securing critical information infrastructure, endeavouring to equip participants with insights into Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) exercises.

Dr. Anshu Kataria while addressing all the delegates, mentioned that the rapid evolution of cyberspace also brings new threats and vulnerabilities. Staying informed about the latest trends in cyber security can help individuals and organizations protect themselves from cyber-attacks data breaches and other online security threats.

Later Adv. Manvir S Tiwana while addressing said that keeping up with cyberspace trends is not only beneficial for businesses but also for individuals seeking personal or professional growth. Learning new technologies and techniques in digital marketing web development and cyber security can open up new career opportunities.

In the valedictory speech Dr. Singla said that the emerging trends in cyberspace highlight the rapid pace at which technology is advancing. But it is essential to remain vigilant about the potential risks and challenges faced in a digitally connected society. We can create a more secure inclusive and innovative cyberspace for all, emphasized Singla. On the occasion Dr. Garima Thakur, Deputy Director; Mrs Manpreet Maan, Dean, Scholarship; Er. Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh, Hod, Aryans Group were present.
