AMRITSAR:A combined annual training camp of 24 Punjab Battalion NCC was held at Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology in which 450 Cadets from various colleges and schools of Amritsar and neighbouring districts participated. The camp witnessed the training on weapon handling, map reading and drill along with personality development.
The aim of the camp is to instill a sense of unity, patriotism, team work and discipline among the cadets, said KCET Director Dr Manju Bala. She said the cadets actively participated in different activities like Bharat Swachhta Abhiyan, various health awareness campaigns under State and Central Government schemes. The tree plantation drives, anti-drug campaign, water conservation programs with the motive to inculcate harmony amongst the cadets were also highlighted.
Assistant NCC Officer Capt Munish Gupta, Capt Anil Partap and NCC Coordinator Prof. Diljot Singh and others were present.
