Ramkumar moves into doubles second round in Istanbul

CHANDIGARH: Ramkumar Ramanathan of India, partnering with Hugo Grenier of France ousted Arda Azkara and Burak Bilgin of Turkey in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 in the doubles first round match in the $81,240 ATP Challenger Tennis Tournament in Istanbul on Tuesday. The match lasted over 65 minutes.
Grenier/Ramanathan won 59 total points while Azkara/Bilgin won 46 points.
Ramkumar Ramanathan, who is seeded eighth, got first round bye in singles and he has been drawn to meet wild card Marsel Ilhan in the second round.
In the doubles first round, Purav Raja of India and Rameez Junaid of Australia, seeded second, will face wild card entrants Ruben Bemelmans (Belgium) and Nenad Zimonjic (Serbia).
