ECI gives permission to various proposals of Punjab Education Department

CHANDIGARH: The Election Commission of India (ECI) today gave its nod to various proposals of Punjab Government Education Department.

Chief Electoral Officer Punjab Dr. S Karuna Raju said that ECI had no objection to issuance of posting stations letters to candidates selected in the recruitment process for filling up 3582 posts of Masters /Mistresses, Issuance of posting orders to the contractual employees of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan/Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (including Adarsh and Model School) who have opted for regularization within the Department as per policy, Allowing the contractual Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan/Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (including Adarsh and Model School) appointees to exercise the option for regularization of their services in the Department as per policy, allocation of place of postings to the newly recruited Lecturers, completion of the process of promotions from E.T.T and C&V teachers to Master cadre in accordance with the directions of the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, filling up posts of Superintendent Grade-I in the Directorate of School Education by way of promotion, procurement of LED and Shifting of locations of 14 numbers of toilets.

He further said that the Commission has no objection to the proposals from MCC angle as made therein subject to the condition that no publicity should be given and no political mileage shall be taken by anyone.
