CHANDIGARH: Water Sports Club, Rukri. District Sirmour in Himachal Pradesh is privileged to host the water skiing and wakeboarding national championship-2024 at Sirmour from May 25 to May 27. A circular to this effect was issued by Mr Rajpal Singh, General Secretary, WWFSI.
The circular has invited all the affiliated units to participate in championship at Rurki Lake at Hotel Jay Clarks Exotica. The championship will provide a unique scenic setting for the participants. The event will feature a diverse range of water sports.
Water sports Club registered at Rukri, Dist. Sirmour will be the organizers of the event. The circular further stated that each affiliated state/club/unit can send maximum four participants for the event and have cleared their dues till 2023. All ‘A’ Grade players from affiliated units are entitled for Stay in Hotel and free food coupons from the organizers will be
provided by the organizers. Travel Insurance is the responsibility of each club, unit / Association when entering competitors for a national titled Event to ensure that its competitors are adequately insured for personal accident, permanent disabilities, death and medical expenses.
Official venue of stay of the organizers will be at ‘Hotel City Heart’ Solan, Himachal Pradesh just 13 km from the venue. The AC deluxe room rate is Rs 2000/- and non AC room will be available for Rs 1400 and Rs 1000 with extra bed in Rs 300 for players and officials. The participants were also advised to bring their own life jackets. Equipments like wakeboard, skies will be providing by the organizers to avoid delay of the event.
Mr. Nitin Chauhan will be the organizing president and Mr. Dinesh the organizing Secretary of the tournament under the aegis of WWSFI. Best players from this National Championship will participate in the 2024 IWSF Asian Water ski Championship which will be helt at Putrajaya, Malaysia in August this year please.
