ASTANA (KAZAKHSTAN): Twenty-eight years old Vikas earned bronze medal bringing the Indian total to one silver and three bronze medals, on the second day of the Asian Senior Wrestling Championships.
In the bronze medal contest Vikas defeated Chinese Jian Tan by VSU, 8 - 0. Adilkhan Nurlanbekov (Kyrgyzstan) defeated Ali Mohammed Kadhim AL Abboofsh (IRQ) by VPO1, 2 - 1.
Ibragim Magomadov (Kazakhstan) clinched the gold medal at the cost of Sajjad Ali Imentalabfoumani (IRI) by VPO1, 5 - 2.
On the opening day India earned medals through Rupin (silver, 55 kg), Neeraj (63 kg) and Sunil Kumar (87 kg) bagged bronze medals.
Olzhas Syrlybay of Kazakhstan denied the bronze medal for India after beating Narinder Cheema by VPO1, 4 - 1.
Sajan's challenge was terminated by Rui Liu of China who won in 77 kg repechage by VPO1, 4 - 1.
