LUDHIANA: The students of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, Punjab participated in XXII All India Inter Agricultural Universities Sports & Games Meet and one four medals (Two Team Gold Medal, One Silver and One Bronze Individual).
40 students (25 Boys & 15 Girls students) took an active part in the meet which was organized by Acharya Narendra University of Agriculture & Technology Kumarganj, Ayodhya, U.P. The sports persons of Vet Varsity represented the University in various events and have brought laurels for the University. The students emerged as winners with Gold Medal in Basketball (Men) and Badminton (Women). The students achieved two medals in athletics i.e. One Silver (Shot Put, Men) and one Bronze (Discus Throw, Men).
Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor congratulated the contingent. He said that our students are showing exemplary achievements in sports as well as academic fields. He shared that we are providing the best facilities and infrastructure for the sports and games for the holistic development of the students.
Dr. Sarvpreet Singh Ghuman, Director Students’ Welfare congratulated the students for their winning positions in the Sports Meet. He attributed their success to their hard work and untiring efforts. He also motivated other students to participate in the game for better health and team spirit.
Dr. Bilawal Singh, Incharge, Dr. Parteek Singh Dhaliwal, Co-incharge, Sports wing and Dr. Sarbjeet Kaur Team Manager contributed all their efforts for the winning spree of the contingent.
