Sumit Nagal loses to Herbert in ATP 500 Barcelona Open

CHANDIGARH: Qualifier Sumit Nagal of India fought well in the first set but meekly surrendered the second set in the first round (round of 64) as opponent 70th ranked Plerre-Hugues Herbert of France recorded 7-5, 6-0 victory in the €1, 702, 800 ATP 500 Barcelona Banc Sabadell (Spain) on Monday. The match lasted one hour and 23 minutes.
Sumit Nagal, ranked 135th, earned €8700.
Sumit Nagal, born in Jhajjar in Haryana, saved 7 of 11 breakpoints while Herbert saved three out of three breakpoints. Sumit missed all the three breakpoints which came his way while the French player converted four out of 11 breakpoints.
