SGPC honors Virender Kumar, a bronze medalist Indian hockey player from Tokyo Olympics

AMRITSAR:Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) honors Surinder Kumar, a bronze medalist Indian hockey player from Tokyo Olympics and
Bibi Jagir Kaur handed over a cheque for a sum of Rs. 5 lakhs.
The SGPC had awarded Rs. 1 crore to the Indian Hockey Team at a special function at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib which Rs. 5 lakh was given to each player.
Mr. Surinder Kumar, who could not reach at that time, was given a cheque for the honorarium today.
On this occasion Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the performance of Indian hockey team has enhanced the pride of the entire country.

Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, OSD Dr. Sukhbir Singh etc. were present.
