Ramkumar continues winning spree in Megasaray Hotel Open

ANTALYA (TURKEY):Ramkumar Ramanathan of India, ranked 186th, ousted 368th ranked Oliver Crawford of United States in straight sets 7-5, 6-4 to march into the singles quarter-final of the Euro 31, 440 Megasaray Hotel Open in Antalya (Turkey) on Thursday. The match lasted one hour and 26 minutes.
Ramkumar, who fired 13 aces and committed six double faults, won 83 per cent points (40/48) points on his first service and 36 percent points (12/33) on his second service. His rival served two aces and committed four double faults. He won 71 percent points (27/38) on his first service and 50 percent points (11/22) on second serve.
Ramkumar converted three of six breakpoints while Oliver Crawford converted one of 12 breakpoints.
In the quarter-final Ramkumar is pitted against Eduard Esteve Lobato of Spain who defeated Filip Misolic of Austria 6-2 6-4. Lobatto is ranked 336th while Ramkunar is ranked 186th.
Combining with Vladyslav Orlov of Ukraine, Ramkumar Ramanathan advanced into the doubles semi-final. In the quater-final, the fourth seeded Indo-Ukraine pair ended the challenge of wild cards Lucas Gerch (Germany) and Aleksandre Metreveli of Georgia 6-2 7-5..
