Punjabi varsity archery team emerge overall champions

CHANDIGARH: Punjabi University emerged overall champions in the All India Inter University Archery Competition organized by Chandigarh University, Mohali from February 24 to 28,

Punjabi University got the top honors of winning the overall trophy by winning eight gold, four silver and five bronze medals. 28

In the men's compound event, the team comprising Sangampreet, Aman Saini, Vikas Rajan and Kulvind Singh won gold, while in the recurve event, the team of Robin, Shaurya, Pawan and Ravi won gold medals.

In the women's compound event the team consisting of Prabhjot Kaur, Preetinder Kaur, Sujata and Manpreet Kaur won the bronze and in the recurve event the Patiala University team of Madhu Vedwan, Anushikha, Amandeep Kaur and Sehajpreet Kaur won the gold medal.

Sangampreet and Prabhjot Kaur won silver medals in compound mixed team competitions. In individual events, Mohit won gold, Veerpal won silver, Pawan won gold and bronze, Madhu won silver and Bronze, Sangampreet won two gold, Aman won bronze and gold, Vikas won bronze and Robin won silver.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Arvind and Director Sports Dr. Gurdeep Kaur Randhawa accompanied the players and officials of the team.
