PATIALA:Patiala Baseball Association organized the Senior baseball District championship from 27th to 28th February 2021 at Professor Gursewak Singh Government College of Physical Education Patiala Patiala. A total of ten teams participated in the Championship. Prof. Gursewak Singh Govt. College of Physical Education, the Constituent college of The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University clinched the championship. Himanshu of The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University was declared Best pitcher of the tournament.
The students of The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University participated in the athletic meet which was organized by students of B.P.E.D-2 (2 Year Course). The Lt. Gen Dr. JS Cheema Vice Chancellor of The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University was the Chief Guest for the meet. Renowned Boxing Coach and Dronacharya Awarded Shri G.S Sandhu and Col Navjit Singh Sandhu, Registrar of The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University and an International equestrian athlete were the Special invitees for the meet. The Chief Guest congratulated the winners and gave away the Prizes to the deserving athletes.The program concluded with an enthralling display of Karate, Gymnastic and Bhangra display.
