AMRITSAR: Manpreet Kaur of Amritsar District to lead the Punjab Junior Women's Hockey Team for participating in the 12th Hockey India National Junior Women's Hockey Championship, starting from March 23 at Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh).
According to Olympian Balwinder Singh Shammi, a member of Hockey Punjab's ad-hoc committee, duly appointed after the suspension of Hockey Punjab by the Hockey India whichbis the Apex body for hockey in India that Manpreet Kaur of Amritsar district has been named as Captain of the Punjab women team to lead Punjab in the 12th Hockey India National Junior Women's Hockey Championship to be held at Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh) from March 23 to April 3. The other members of the team are Sharanjit Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Amreen Hamid, Chewang Tamang, Vaishali Sharma, Amandeep Kaur, Sneha Sabha.
