Mankad Troohy: Andhra CA and UPCA qualify for the knock-out stage

CHANDIGARH: Andhra CA and Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association qualified from Elite Group A for the knock-out stage of the Inter-State Vinoo Mankad Under-19 Tournament being hosted by Punjab Cricket Association. The knockout tournament will be hosted by Ahmedabad. Andhra CA got 20 points and UPCA got 16 points

The Elite Group-A teams included UPCA, DDCA, Odisha, Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh, Andhra CA and Bihar CA

Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association defeated Delhi and District Association by five wickets at Cricket Stadium, Sector-16, here. DDCA U-19 won the toss and chose to bat first. Batting first DDCA U-19 bundled out for 213 runs in 47.4 overs. Aryan Dalal scored 72 runs off 96 balls with six boundaries and one six and Yash Dhull 48 runs off 49 balls with six boundaries were the main run getters for DDCA Team. Vipraj Nigam 4 for 48, Damandeep Singh 3 for 50 and Vijay Kumar 2 for 36 were the most successful wicket takers for UPCA.

Replying, UPCA achieved the target and scored 217 for 5 in 48 overs. Vipraj Nigam 61 off 98 with five boundries and one six, Siddharth Yadav 53 off 63 with three boundry and three sixes and Ghanshyam Upadhyay 50 off 44 with six boundaries and one six were the highest run getters for UPCA U-19 Team. Parteek 2 for 45 was the most successful wicket taker for DDCA. UPCA earnned four points.

Bihar beat Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh by 4 wickets at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Mohali. Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first, Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh were bundled out for 135 runs in 35.2 overs. Digvijay Patel scored 22 runs off 30 balls with three boundaries and Mayank Yadav scored 20 runs off 48 balls with one boundary were the main run getters for Chhattisgarh.

Aditya Anand 4 for 26, Aditya 2 for 37 and Sakib Hussain 2 for 28 were the most successful wicket talkers for Bihar CA.

Replying, Bihar CA scored 139 runs for 6 wickets in 44.3 overs and achieved the target . Tarun Kumar Singh scored 50 runs off 112 balls with five boundaries and Sraman Nigrodh scored 25 runs off 56 balls with one boundary and one six were the highest run getters for Bihar CA.

Aayush Singh Thakur 3 for 27 was the most successful wicket taker for Chhattisgarh SCS. Bihar CA got four wickets.

The match between Odisha CA and Andhra ended in a tie and each teams getting two points each at IS Bindra Cricket Stadium, PCA , Mohali. Andhra won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first Odisha were bundled out for 195 runs in 48.5 overs.

Sai Subham scored 47 runs off 65 balls with six boundaries, Sushil K Barik scored 37 runs off 54 balls with one boundary and one six and Sambit S Baral added 37 runs off 41 balls with four boundaries and one six were the highest run getters for Odisha CA U-19 Team.

T A Hemanth Kumar 4 for 40 and SK Jani Basha 3 for 36 were the most successful wicket takers for Andhra CA.

Replying, Andhra CA scored 195 runs in 45.5 overs and lost of all wickets. The match stood tied. M Hemanth Reddy scored 69 runs off 92 balls with eight boundaries and M Sushanth Naidu scored 39 runs off 61 balls with three boundaries were the highest run getters for Andhra CA.
