PHAGWARA: A display of sheer precision and focus led Lovely Professional University (LPU) archery team to a historic national achievement. The LPU archers secured Overall First Runner-Up position at the prestigious All India Inter University Archery Championship 2025-26 at Bathinda under AIU, and qualified for the upcoming Khelo India University Games.
The team's campaign was nothing short of dominant, resulting in a remarkable medal tally of five gold, three silver, and two bronze medals. The team’s dominance was evident as it claimed gold medals in the Recurve Men’s Team, Recurve Mixed Team, and Compound Mixed Team events. Adding to the pride, Prathmesh Jawker claimed the gold in the Compound Individual category, while Chaavi Rana secured gold in the Indian Round Individual event. Goldi Mishra in the Recurve Individual (Olympic Round) and by Khushi Sharma and Prathmesh Jawker earned silver medals in the Compound 50m event. The Compound Women’s Team and Indian Round Women’s Team also put up strong performances, winning bronze medals for LPU.
