Four teams for Rama Atray Memorial Cricket

CHANDIGARH: The fourth edition of Rama Atray Memorial Cricket Tournament will be held at Chandigarh and Panchkula from October 8 to 12. It is the curtain raiser before the start of the Domestic Season.

According to Captain Sushil Kapoor , Organising Secretary Punjab Cricket Association, UT Cricket Association, J and k Cricket Association and Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association will be taking part in the Tournament.

The tournament will be played on league cum-knockout basis and all the matches will be of 50 overs each innings. Matches will be played with the white balls with coloured clothing. The Tournament will be played under the BCCI Rules of One Day Cricket. The winners will get cash prize of Rs. 40, 000 along with winner’s Trophy and Runners up will get cash prize of 20, 000/- alongwith Runners-up Trophy. There will be awards for player of the match for each match, best better, Best Bowler and best all-rounder of the tournament award. The league stage matches will be held on October 8, 9 and 11 while the final will be held on October 12 at Cricket Stadium Sector-16 Chandigarh.

Fixtures: Oct 8 J&K vs UTCA at GMSS Sec-26 CHD and Punjab vs HPCA at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, PKL.

Oct 9: J&K vs Punjab at GMSS Sec-26 CHD; UTCA vs HPCA at Tricity Cricket Ground.

Oct 11: HPCA vs J&K at GMSS Sec-26 CHD; UTCA vs Punjab at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, PKL.

Oct 12: Top two teams (final) at Sector 16 Cricket Tournament.
