Bopanna-Shapovalov move up in Indian Wells Open

INDIAN WELLS: Rohan Bopanna (India) and Denis Shapovalov of Canada got the better of Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada and Hubert Hurkacz of Poland in the doubles first round by 6-1 2-6 10-4 in 63 minutes in the ATP Masters 1000 $16, 718, 910 Indian Wells Open here today.
Bopanna and Shapovalov won 67 percent points (18/27) on the first serve and 53 percent points (8/15) on the second serve. They kept 64 percent (27/42) of their first serve. Bopanna and Shapovalov won three out of three breakpoints.
Felix and Hubert won 58 percent of points (14/24) on first serve and 52 percent points (13/25) on first serve. They kept their first serve 49 percent (24/49) in. They won two out of three breakpoints.
India's Sania Mirza pairing Chinese Zhang Shuai put up a good resistance before third seeded Japanese pair Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara just managed to snatch a close 6-3, 3-6, 15-13 verdict in the women's doubles first round match.
