Aditya Chauhan and Vanya Arora lift singles titles

CHANDIGARH: CLTA trainees top seed Aditya Chauhan and second seed Vanya Arora clinched boys and girls singles titles, respectively, in the CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-3) Tennis Tournament for Boys and Girls under-16 at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today.

.Third seed Aditya Chauhan defeated Ekamjeet Singh Cheema in straight sets 6-3, 6-0. Aditya Chauhan played in a top form, Aditya dominant with his big serve and vary the sorts. Aditya won the first set 6-3 without getting much pressure. In the second set Aditya maintained his momentum and took the set and match 6-0 without conceding a single game.

In the girls under-16 singles Finals Vanya Arora defeated Rubani Kaur Sidhu in straight sets. Vanya won the first set 6-1. In the second set Vanya played consistently and maintained her level of game to close the 2nd set and match 6-2 easily.

Dr. Reet Mahinder Sindh, Member, Executive Committee and Mr. Romen Singh, Chief Coach, CLTA distributed the prizes to the winners and runners-up of both the events.
