Administration to increase area under horticulture crops by 150-acre this year-NPS Randhawa

PATIALA:To promote Guava fruit and prosucts made from it, under its adoption as 'One District One Product' by Patiala district, Horticulture Department in coordination with District Administration, today, organized the first ever Guava Festival at Barandari Bagh, Patiala. In this festival, progressive farmers who plants Guava fruits, exhibited tge products made from Guava fruit that attracted most of the people.

on Saturday. He instructed the agriculture, horticulture and the allied departments to prepare
district level action plans to readily mitigate with such situation. He said crop weather watch
groups must also be constituted besides the agriculture department should prepare a sound
database on weather, crop conditions to assist the state disaster management authority
(SDMA).

ATTARI(Amritsar): In a bid to supplement the income of the farmers of border areas through cultivation of fruits under the ambitious crop diversification program of the state government, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today announced that the state government would soon set up a state-of-the art ‘National Centre of Excellence for Horticulture’ in this town of the border district.
