The case load surged to 122,660 after 3,462 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, till Wednesday morning.
Another 2,031 patients have recovered from COVID-19 at home and in hospital in the same period, bringing the total to 49,666, DGHS Additional Director General Nasima Sultana said in a media briefing.

DHAKA: At least four labourers were dead and 15 remained missing after a boat capsized in the river of Jamuna in Bangladesh's Sirajganj district, a senior police official said on Wednesday.
The district's police chief Hasibul Alam told Xinhua over phone that the boat carrying some 70 people, mostly day labourers, sank at about 11:30 a.m. (local time) on Tuesday amid inclement weather.
