SHIMLA: BJP HP State incharge Avinash Rai Khanna condoled the sad demise of fromer union minister and congress vetrean leader Pandit Sukhram.
He said he was grief stricken to hear the news of death of Pandit Sukh Ram. May God provide place to his departed soul at his heavenly abode and his bereaved family get strength to bear the irreparable loss.
Sukhram was an outstanding leaders who served himachal in many roles. He was a visionary leader, it were his sincere efforts that himachal got telephone connectivity.
Khanna said He worked hard for the development of mandi and progress of himachal, he fought for the all round development of himachal when he was a member of Parliament and minister in the centre government. His efforts can never be forgotten by the citizens of Himachal.
He said Sukhram was the Union minister of state for communications (independent charge) from 1993 to 1996. He won five assembly elections and was thrice elected to Lok Sabha.
