HEPA opposes intake of outsiders to Discoms

CHANDIGARH:Haryana Power Engineers Association (HPEA) strongly oppose the move of Haryana government and power utilities to take executive engineers, superintending engineers, and chief engineers on deputation from other departments.
Rampal Singh President of the Association said this is a great injustice to the working engineers of the Discoms (Nigam). It is not understood that when the competent engineers are available in the utilities why they are not being promoted.

He further added that the power engineers have made the power utilities profitable by dint of hard work of decades and improved the overall all India ranking of the utilities. The power utilities of Haryana are in second place only after Gujarat.
Now when the engineers are hoping for their due promotion as per seniority, the Discoms are not promoting their own engineers and instead it is taking engineers on deputation from other departments who are completely ignorant about the working of the Discoms.
HEPA strongly oppose this decision and has urged Manohar Lal Khattar the chief minister and Ranjit Singh Chautala Power Minister to stop the intake of outsiders in the Discoms, which is a great injustice to the engineers and instead regular promotion of engineers be made immediately.
In case no action to reverse this decision is taken the Association shall be forced to launch agitation and management will be fully responsible for this.
