CHANDIGARH: Haryana Power Engineers Association(HPEA ) delegation today met Ranjit Singh Chautala Energy Minister and apprised him about the misbehaviour of Panchayat and Development Minister towards a power engineers while conducting a "Janta Darbar".Power Minister assured delegates that he will take up the issue with the chief minister and will not let down the Engineers at any cost..
HPEA delegation was led by Anil Nagar General Secretary and Robin Sheokhand Vice President and told the power minister that a consumer has requested Panchayat Minister to shift a transformer in his fields. Since the transformer was installed long back and it cannot be shifted without completing the required formalities but Minister wanted an immediate action. On the reply of the officer the minister abused him publically and called him a Dacait, recovery agent like adjectives.
Anil Nagar informed the power minister that misbehaviour by the Panchayat Minister was totally unwarranted and unjustified and has caused huge resentment among the power engineers. Under these circumstances, the power Engineers has been compelled to boycott meeting chaired by Devender Babli Panchayat and Development Minister till he apologise.
Vijendera Lamba president said that All India Power Engineers Federation has sought the intervention of Haryana chief minister in this matter and has supported the protest by Haryana power engineers. The engineers have planned daily two circle level protests starting from May 23.
