KAITHAL: In Kaithal, members of the United Kisan Morcha protested on Wednesday from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, gheraoing the BJP office Kapil Kamal. Farmers also staged a dharna for 3 hours outside the BJP office.
The demonstration was led by Satpal Dillowali, state treasurer of Bharatiya Kisan Union Tikait Group. Farmers raised their voice by raising slogans in favor of the agitating farmers. Farmer leaders said that the movement of the United Kisan Morcha on the pending issues during the farmers' movement will continue till the government gives guarantee of MSP. Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Jiyalal said that the farmers' agitation will continue until the government gives 50 percent MSP C2 plus, repeals the electricity law, debt relief and justice to the martyred farmers of Lakhimpur Kheri. He said that the Haryana government has troubled lakhs of people by blocking the roads. Baseless cases are being filed against farmers. The arrested farmers should be released with immediate effect and the internet ban should be lifted immediately. Manohar Lal government has kept the people of the state hostage in their own state. All roads should be opened with immediate effect.
Both the farmer leaders said that they will follow the decision taken by the United Front. When the United Front announces the Delhi march, they will march towards Delhi with thousands of tractor trolleys from Kaithal. Surendra Chaushala, Gurnam Singh Saharan, Pritam Singh, Suresh, Shamsher Singh and other farmer leaders were present in the demonstration.
