SHIMLA:Dr Lal Pathlabs Foundation sanctioned a project “COVID-19 Emergency Response”
to the Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) will distribute medical
equipments to the CMO’s of districts Shimla, Hamirpur, Solan, Mandi, and Kullu of Himachal
Pradesh.
The first distribution of the equipment was held at Shimla in the office of CMO Dr.
Surekha Chopra on Tuesday. The items were handed over in the presence of Block Medical
Officer at District Shimla. They thanked to RCED and Dr. Lal Pathlabs Foundation. The
dignitaries present from Lal PathLabs were Mr. Inderpal Singh; General Manager, Mr. Amit;
Regional Manager, Mr. Navketen along with Mr. Paramjit Singh, Director RCED, Mr. Rajan
Sehgal , General Manager and Mr. Jaiwan Singh; Senior Project Officer.
The following items were distributed: Oximeter, Hand Sanitizer Dispenser, Steam
Inhaler, Sanitizers, Masks, Infrared Thermometers, Shoe Cover, Disposable caps and PPE
Kits.
Mr Paramjit Singh, principal director (RCED) said that the project included the
distribution of medical items and these would be distributed in the states of Haryana,
Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir in the days to come.
He further stated that the medical equipments/items have already been distributed
in the State of Haryana in association with Directorate of Health, Government of Haryana
and Shivalik Development Board. The requirements were procured from the CMOs of
Yamunagar, Panchkula and Ambala and corresponding items were handed over to them.
The main objective was to support in the fight against COVID 19 by getting the
required equipments for hospitals for providing proper treatment hence improving lives of
the community through high quality and preventive healthcare facilities, said Mr Singh.
Under this, the requirement for the equipment has been identified from all the six
districts of Himachal Prades viz Hamirpur, Kangra, Solan, Mandi, Shimla and Kullu, and the
list of items needed by them to deal with the present situation has been finalized.
