2 accused arrested for assault and uttering words that hurt religious sentiment of Sikh in Kaithal

KAITHAL: Taking prompt action, two accused were arrested in a case where unknown youths assaulted a person and uttered words that hurt religious sentiments.

Giving information during the press conference, SP Upasana said that on June 10, 2024, at around 9.55 pm, Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Kaithal, was beaten up by two unknown youths riding a black Splendor bike near Hooda Sector 19 Cut, ahead of the gate near the bus stand, Kaithal. Words that hurt religious sentiments were spoken.Regarding which a case was registered in Civil Line Kaithal police station on the complaint of complainant Sukhvindra. SP said that a 5-member SIT was formed under the leadership of DSP Gurvinder Singh to investigate the said case and orders were given to trace and arrest the accused as soon as possible.

The team of SIT, CIA-1 in-charge Inspector Mahendra Singh, Police Station Civil Line SHO Inspector Shilwanti and Cyber Cell in-charge ASI Satbir Singh worked hard on CCTV cameras and other technical aspects and made solid identification of the accused. After solid identification, during prompt action, the team of SI Jaswant Liye Singh, ASI Pradeep Kumar, HC Subhash, HC Jaiveer and HC Jashmer of CIA 1 police arrested the accused Ishu, resident of village Singwal of district Jind and Sunil, resident of village Shergarh, from village Pega of district Jind. Were arrested. During interrogation of the accused, it was revealed that accused Ishu works in finance business in Kaithal and Sunil works as a driver at a taxi stand. On the evening of June 10, both the accused had consumed alcohol on Karnal Bypass. And both of them were going to meet a friend near Ambala Bypass. On the way, they had an altercation with Sukhvindra near the gate, which later led to a fight and in the fight, Ishu hit Sukhvindra with a brick. Both the accused will be presented in the court on Saturday. Who are being interrogated by the police.
