NAKODAR: Standing wheat crop on five acres was gutted in fire in Mohalla Reharrwan , Nakodar on Monday evening .Nakodar city station house officer Jatindar Kumar said that residents controlled the fire which was caused by short circuit in overhead electricity wires and fire tender reached on the spot .
Crop belonged to farmer Gurjit Singh who has demanded adequate compensation.
