Two unidentified booked for snatching cash at gunpoint

NAKODAR: The Nakodar sadar police have booked two unidentified miscreants on the charge of snatching cash at pistol point.Raj Kumar a resident of Palam Vihar, Nakodar complained to the police that two unidentified accused barged into his grocery shop at Shankar village on April 5 and asked him to hand over cash at a pistil point and snatched Rs 29000 and fled away.

The investigating officer Rajindar Singh said that a case under section 379-B (snatching) and 34(committing a crime with common intention) of the IPC and sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against unidentified accused.

Increasing incidents of snatching have created a sense of insecurity among residents and put a question mark on police functioning.
