Three 'Bandi Singhs' released on bail from Burail Jail after 28 years, Akal Takht Jathedar honours them

AMRITSAR: Engineer Bhai Gurmeet Singh Patiala, Bhai Lakhwinder Singh Lakha and Bhai Shamsher Singh Uksi Jat, have been released on bail from Burail Jail in Chandigarh after 28 years. They were honored by Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh at Sri Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat on Wednesday.

On this occasion, Giani Raghbir Singh said that Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee always stand with the struggling Singhs and their families.

He said that Bhai Gurmeet Singh Patiala, Bhai Lakhwinder Singh Lakha and Bhai Shamsher Singh are also included in the legal battle for the release of the Bandi Singhs for the release of which the Shiromani Committee is fighting for a long time on the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

Giani Raghbir Singh said that these Singhs have been released on bail and they pray to Guru Hargobind Sahib, the 6th Patshah, that all these Singhs will be released soon.

On this occasion, Bhai Gurmeet Singh Patiala, Bhai Lakhwinder Singh Lakha and Bhai Shamsher Singh Uksi Jatt said that at the present time, mutual unity of the Khalsa Panth is the most important need. If there is sectarian unity, even the biggest power of the world will bow before us and every external problem can be solved.

The Bandi Singhs said that even decades of detention in jails could not make a difference in their spiritual progress, but seeing the scattered conditions of the sect, anxiety is certainly created.

They said that the time of his detention in the jail was spent with the help of his Gurbani and Simran and even today he is ready to serve the Panth in every way.

On this occasion Giani Gurmukh Singh, the chief scribe of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the manager of Sri Darbar Sahib. Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, Personal Assistant Jaspal Singh and S. Family members of Ajit Singh, Bhagwan Singh and Basharat Singh, who were released on bail, were also present.
