The birth anniversary of 6th Guru of Sikhs Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib was celebrated with great enthusiasm

AMRITSAR: Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh has congratulated the Sangat on the birth anniversary of the sixth Patshah Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and shared his views on the life history of Guru Sahib.

Giani Harpreet Singh said that the sixth Patshah ji communicated a new policy to take the Sikhs to the forefront in the light of the principles given by Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji. Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib ji ordered to be armed and inspired the Sikhs to fight against oppression. Accordingly, Guru Sahib fought four wars and recorded victories. Jathedar Akal Takht Sahib also encouraged the Sikh community to follow the path shown by Guru Sahib and continue working for the advancement of Sikhism.

On this occasion, Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, President of Shiromani Committee Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Jathedar Singh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Singh Sahib Giani Gurminder Singh were present.

After the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib on the occasion of Prakash Gurpurab, Ragi Jatha of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib enthralled the devotees through Gurbani Kirtan.

Meanwhile, Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami also congratulated the Sikh world on the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji.

He said that Sri Akal Takht Sahib, created by Guru Sahib, is a symbol of the free existence of Sikhs and the divine flame. It is the duty of every Sikh to guard this principle.
