AMRITSAR: Temporary licenses are to be issued in Amritsar district for the sale of firecrackers for the festival of Diwali/Gurpub .
Giving information in this regard, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Mr. Rohit Gupta said that interested persons can submit their application at the All Sewa Kendra of Amritsar district after depositing the required fee by 5 pm on September 30, 2025.
He said that the prescribed proforma is available on the Punjab Government website www.punjab.gov.in and at the All Sewa Kendras of the district.
Mr. Gupta said that temporary licenses for sale of firecrackers will be issued only in the name of the persons whose applications will be selected through draw.
He said that the draw of the total applications received will be held on October 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM in Room No. 168 of the District Administrative Complex in the presence of a committee constituted by the Deputy Commissioner Amritsar.
