AMRITSAR: Sukhbir Badal and his team responsible for incidents of descreation of Guru Granth Sahib.
This was stated by Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa president of Shiromani Akali Dal ((Sanyukt) during the press conference.
Dozens of other incidents of indecency including the theft of Guru Granth Sahib Ji's form on the land of Punjab, Bargadi indecency, Kotkapura and Behbal shooting are unfortunate and dark incidents in the history of Punjab whose scars can never be washed away.
Shomani Akali Dal (United) President Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa while talking to reporters said that it was even more tragic that these black pages of history were written when the government in Punjab belonged to Shomani Akali Dal (Badal) and the then Chief Minister. Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, Home Minister. Under whose leadership all this happened.
He said that no party involved in these heinous incidents could ever acquit itself. Mr. Dhindsa said that Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and his entourage had created a criminal atmosphere on the soil of Punjab to bring about these unfortunate incidents of indecency so that the Sikh heritage could be provoked and crushed by the government. He said that the then DGP and his team had spilled the blood of Sikhs on the soil of Punjab to thwart this conspiracy of Sukhbir Badal and had registered cases of treason against hundreds of Sikhs and locked them up in jails.8
Mr. Dhindsa said that it was the time of Sukhbir Badal's presidency when the Dera Sirsa Chief had disguised himself as Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth father, shot dead half a dozen Sikhs who were protesting against the incident and filed a case under Section 295 against hundreds of Sikhs. after registering, they were locked up in jails.
Mr Dhindsa said that the SGPC published advertisements worth Rs. 92 lakh in the newspapers to get the case registered against the Dera Chief at Kotwali Police Station, Bathinda against the impostor forged signatures, to get the Dera Chief pardoned from the Akal Takhat and to justify the apology. Mr. Sukhbir Badal and his team did not punish the main culprits of the incidents of indecency in their ten year rule with due process of law but the conspiracies and efforts of this group to save the culprits for the incidents of indecency have come to light. .
