SGPC to hold Khalsa March from Takht Sri Damdama Sahib and Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib to Akal Takht on October 7

AMRITSAR: The members of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has decided to organise Khalsa March from Takht Damdama Sahib, Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib to Akal Takht on March 7.

This decision was taken at its meeting which was held in presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib at Teja Singh Samundari Hall within Golden Temple complex here today in which Head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, Sri Akal Takht Sahib were present in the meeting.

The special meeting of the members of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak has announced fight to a fierce struggle at all levels against the Supreme Court's decision to recognize the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Act 2014,

About 90 members, including the Chief Registrar Giani Malkit Singh, Singh Sahib Giani Jaswant Singh, Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami participated.

On this occasion, the Chief Justice of India was appealed to issue orders to reconsider the decision regarding the Haryana Committee by forming a five-member constitutional bench. Along with this, the Home Minister of India was told that a review petition should be filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of the Government of India in favor of the Shiromani Committee and an ordinance should be passed in the Parliament to repeal the Haryana Committee Act.

On this occasion, the Home Minister was also requested to proceed with the process for the establishment of the All India Sikh Gurdwara Act.

The meeting also decided to organise a protest march from Sri Darbar Sahib to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar on October 4, 2022, and a memorandum against the RSS and Haryana Committee was handed over.

It was also announced to organize a march for awareness in the Sangat up to Takht Sahib. It was also decided that with the support of Haryana Sangats against breaking up the Shiromani Committee, the Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar will be surrounded by a program and if the governments do not open their ears, then all the Shiromani Committee members will hold a strong demonstration in Delhi.

During the meeting, the speakers including the President of Shiromani Committee, Advocate Dhami, took an aggressive stance against the governments and said that for the safety of Shiromani Committee, the highest bicameral body of Sikhs, the entire Khalsa panth will fight a united struggle under the leadership of Shri Akal Takht Sahib. The tactics of parties like Congress, BJP, RSS and Aam Aadmi Party which weaken the Sikh power will not be allowed to succeed. Advocate Dhami said that the seed of a separate Haryana committee was planted by the Congress, which was watered by the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party under the auspices of the RSS.

He said that if a separate committee of Haryana is formed today, then tomorrow these anti-Sikh forces will go to the extent of taking over thrones and historic Gurdwaras in Punjab.

In his address during the meeting, Advocate Dhami brought a special resolution and appealed to the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to call a special meeting of all the Sikh denominations, Sabha societies, Gurmati mints, Nihang Singh organizations, Sewa Panths, Nirmals and prominent Sikhs from home and abroad. After calling and getting the opinion on this serious issue, take a concrete decision in the gathering of Panj Singh Sahibs.

He also appealed to the entire Sikh community including Haryana to identify the anti-Sikh forces and be aware of the Sikh faces playing in their hands. The Shiromani Committee president said that this is a blow to the soul of the nation, with the wounds of which the Sikh community will move forward in an organized manner.

After the special meeting of the Shiromani Committee members, under the leadership of Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, in the presence of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, prayers were offered for the progress of the Sikh panth and the struggle for the safety of the Sikh organization Shiromani Committee.

On this occasion Guru Sahib's Asara was taken by chanting the Mul Mantra and Gur Mantra. The prayers were offered by Giani Malkit Singh, head granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
