SGPC organizes function on the occasion of the foundation day of Sri Akal Takht Sahib highest seat of Sikh religion

AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee celebrated the foundation day of Sri Akal Takht Sahib highest seat of sikh religion with great enthusiasm and respect today.

In this regard, a function was held at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. After the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, the Jatha of Hazuri Ragi Bhai Bhupinder Singh engaged the congregation with Gurbani Kirtan on ancient string instruments. Ardas was performed by Bhai Prem Singh and the holy Hukamnama was recited by Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Parvinderpal Singh.

On this occasion, Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj congratulated the nation on the establishment day of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and said that Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji established Sri Akal Takht Sahib in front of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, the center of spirituality, so that politics should be in accordance with religion, so that a society with divine justice could be created.

He said that Sri Akal Takht Sahib is the throne of Akal Purakh, which Guru Sahib himself created.

He said that Sikhs have always been dedicated to Sri Akal Takht Sahib and will always be dedicated. In the 18th century, when the governments announced to eliminate the Sikhs, the nation took the lead from Sri Akal Takht Sahib and chased Abdali to Ghazni.

He especially appealed to the Sikh youth that today, laziness is being spread to separate us from the Guru, which should be countered in a conscious and conscious manner.

He said that we should all understand our responsibility and connect our children with religion to protect them from such bad influences.

He stressed on the need for the entire nation to come together under the umbrella of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, upholding the principles of the Guru to get out of the miseries

Sharing today's history with the congregation, Giani Parvinderpal Singh said that the sixth Guru Ji gave the principle of Miri Piri by creating Sri Akal Takht Sahib. To fight against oppression, the Sikhs were made to practice weapons knowledge and instilled a sense of unity in the nation. Guru Sahib, after sitting on the throne, started Dhadi Wars to instill enthusiasm in the Sikh warriors. This is the page of Sikh history that instilled pride, passion, and determination within the nation.

On this occasion, Chief Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Malkit Singh, Secretary of Shiromani Committee Pratap Singh, Additional Secretary Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, Bijay Singh, Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, Deputy Secretary Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Kuldeep Singh Rode, Balwinder Singh Khairabad, Harbhajan Singh Wakta, Superintendent S. Nishan Singh and Malkit Singh Beharwal, Manager Narinder Singh, Jaspal Singh Dhadde, Deputy Manager Gurtinderpal Singh and the Sangat were present.
