MANSA: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday said that the flagship program of state government, Sarkar Tuhade Dwar program is aimed at empowering the common man by ensuring delivery of citizen centric services at the doorsteps of people.
Addressing the gathering during the Sarkar Tuhade Program here today, the Chief Minister said that this step has revolutionized the entire governance system by making the bureaucracy directly accountable to the people, for the first time in state, thereby empowering them. He said that this program will bring governance at the doorsteps of the people thereby bringing a complete revolution in administration. Bhagwant Mann said that this move will prove to be a game changer by ensuring optimal usage of Human Resources as well as the timely implementation of various welfare programs.
The Chief Minister envisioned that people will be immensely benefited by this pro-people move as they will not have to run pillar to post for getting the services in government offices. He said that the Punjab government is committed for providing transparent, effective and responsive governance in the state. He also said that his government is making concerted efforts to restore the pristine glory of the state.
The Chief Minister envisioned that the day is not far when due to strenuous efforts of the state government, Punjab will emerge as a frontrunner state in the country. Bhagwant Mann said that they had already rolled out a comprehensive plan for carving out a rangla Punjab for the coming generations. He quipped that his predecessors had never come out of their palatial palaces during their stints but he had been moving in every nook and corner of the state to usher in a new era of peace, progress and prosperity.
The Chief Minister said that this momentum will be carried on in the coming days to ensure that the development and prosperity of the state gets a major fillip. Bhagwant Mann said that strenuous efforts are being made in this regard adding that this noble cause cannot be completed without the support of people.He said that Sarkar Tuhade Dwar program finds no parallel across the country as no other state government bothers to spare so much time for the people by solving their problems at their doorsteps.
The Chief Minister said that this program helps in quick resolution of public problems on one hand besides judging the performance of the government officers/officials on the other. He said that it is the need of the hour to facilitate the people in getting their day-to-day works done easily besides ensuring good governance to them. Bhagwant Mann said that this will help in better functioning of the offices along with better acquaintance with the ground realities.
The Chief Minister said that his government has taken major initiatives to break the backbone of mafias that had flexed muscles during the regime of the previous governments. He said that his government is making strenuous efforts to facilitate the general public by taking historic initiatives. Bhagwant Mann said that his government has provided 600 units of free power to the people in every bill cycle.
Likewise, the Chief Minister said that schools of eminence are being constructed across the state to provide quality education to the students. He said that Aam Aadmi Clinics have been set up in the state to impart quality health services to people free of cost. Bhagwant Mann said that more than 29000 government jobs have been given to eligible youth purely on the basis of merit.
The Chief Minister said that as he hails from a common family and is well connected at the ground level so he is well aware of the problems being faced by the various sections of society. He assured the people that every problem of theirs will be solved and the state government is at their disposal for resolving their every genuine problem. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government is committed for the progress of the state and prosperity of its people.
