RUPNAGAR: Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) General Secretary and former minister Daljit Singh Cheema today appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to immediately dismiss Food Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu for failing to ensure smooth Wheat procurement and scam in purchase of Bardana.
Addressing a press conference here Cheema said that large scale bungling was reported on purchase of second hand bardana by Food and Supply department. He said that Ashu had failed to ensure smooth Wheat procurement and farmers are at receiving end due to mismanagement at all levels.
Cheema also demanded to roll back decision of night curfew. He said that there was no medical or scientific reasons behind imposing night curfew. It is rather a tool of harassment of people by police.
