Punjab Education minister Singla felicitates Kapurthala students with apple ipad, laptop and android tablet

KAPURTHALA: School Education Minister Punjab Mr. Vijay Inder Singla felicitate the winners of ‘Ambassadors of Hope’ belonging to Kapurthala district with Apple iPad, Laptop and Android Tablet during a brief ceremony in view of COVID-19 pandemic. The cabinet minister specially visited PAP Complex Jalandhar to give away the prizes to the winners of record breaking online competition, ‘Ambassadors of Hope’ from three districts including Kapurthala. Apart from congratulating the winners, Mr. Singla assured them every possible help in achieving their future goals.

Notably, Jasnoor Singh, a class 4 student of Cambridge International School has been awarded an Apple iPad while Kulwant Singh and Rajpal Singh both twins, a class 8 students of Government High School Gazi Gudana, who stood second in the district, was given a laptop. Meanwhile, Gurnoor Kaur, a class 6 student of Swami Sant Dass Public School, has been felicitated with an Android tablet. However, as many as 2, 260 entries were registered from Kapurthala district. The winners overwhelmingly thanked Mr. Vijay Inder Singla for organizing such an interesting and wonderful competition during lockdown.

While giving away the prizes, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that besides breaking the world record in eight days, the ‘Ambassadors of Hope’ competition has successfully served its purpose by nurturing skills of students in a positive manner.

Divulging further details, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that as many as 1, 05, 898 school going students have shared their videos in eight days for 'Ambassadors of Hope', the campaign which was launched for students of Punjab to share their creativity during lockdown. He categorically said, “Winners have been selected strictly on merit basis.”

The Cabinet Minister said that apart from a total 66 main prizes, as many as 1000 consolation prizes were also being given to the winners in all 22 districts under the ‘Ambassadors of Hope’.

Third prize winner Jasnoor Singh told cabinet minister that he was curiously waiting for his prize today he was feeling very happy after receiving his iPad from education minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla. Meanwhile, Gurnoor Kaur who clinched third position in the district, said that she is feeling very proud after receiving third prize. She also thanked Mr. Vijay Inder Singla for organizing such a healthy competition for students during lockdown.
