PHAGWARA: One newly married woman was killed and her husband sustained serious injuries when a bike on which they were going to Mukerian from Ludhiana was hit by a speeding vehicle near Chiherru on National High Ways on Saturday afternoon.
The motorcyclist injured youth Shivam of Ludhiana was admitted in local civil hospital. The body of his pillion rider wife Kiran was handed over to her family after post-mortem examination conducted in the hospital.The Police have registered a case against the driver of unknown vehicle.
In second incident one cyclist identified as Shingara Singh resident of Bazidowal was killed on the spot when his cycle he was riding was hit by a speeding vehicle near Phagwara—Chandigarh bypass on Friday.The Police have registered a case and sent to civil hospital the body for post-mortem examination.
