Need of the hour to strengthen co-operative movement: Dhaliwal

AMRITSAR: Cooperative movement which is beneficial to all sections, especially known as the backbone of farmers needs to be strengthened, so that farmers can get loans from cooperative banks at low interest rates.

These words were expressed by Mr. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat, today at Bachat Bhawan while distributing appointment letters to the heirs of the deceased employees of Cooperative Bank on the basis of compassion. Dhaliwal said that the Co-operative Bank is celebrating its 100th year this year. He said that cooperative banks should make more efforts for low interest and loan schemes for all sections of urban and rural areas.

Dhaliwal while addressing said that his government is committed to the welfare of all sections and the guarantees that the government had given to the people in the first six months. have started to complete them.
Dhaliwal said that the AAP government is recruiting in all institutions of the state and all the recruitment is being done in a fair manner. He said that our government is working on the policy of zero tolerance on corruption and no corrupt person will be spared.

He said that it is not us but our work that speaks that we have given more than 200 corrupt people in jails, anti-gangster task force, twenty thousand jobs, providing assistance of one crore rupees to the families of martyrs in just 6 months.

On this occasion, the employees' union of the bank gave a demand letter to the employees of the bank to implement the sixth pay commission.

On this occasion Mr. Bhupinder Singh, deputy registrar of the bank, gave detailed information about the current situation and recovery of the bank.
