SHAHKOT:The Shahkot police have arrested a person on the charge of assaulting a petrol pump salesman.
The investigating officer (IO) Balkar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Sagar a resident of Padda colony near railway station Lohian Khas .
Chandar Sham a resident of Shahkot had complained to the police that he is working at a petrol pump Lassoori village where the accused came on February 20 late evening for filing petrol in two wheeler but promised to pay money later on as they were known to him but when he insisted on payment the accused assaulted and threatened him.
IO said that a case under sections 323, 324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means) 506 (criminal intimidation) 379-B(snatching ) , 511(punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) and34 (committing crime with common intention.
