A large number of local Sangat participated in these events and listened to the Gurmat Samagams .
On the occasion of these events, the organizers of the Sikh Sangat and Singh Sabhas of Delhi gave a grand welcome to Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj and honored him with siropas.
Addressing the Sangat on the occasion of Gurmat Samagam, Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj advised them to unite and strengthen the Sikh power and remain dedicated to Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He said that Sikhs have always risen to the highest heights and challenges with unity, taking inspiration from Guru Sahib, therefore it is important that we always remain connected to the Gurbani of the holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sri Akal Takht Sahib and work for the advancement of Sikhism.
He said that according to the concept of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the entire Khalsa Panth is one family and Sikhs are the residents of Sri Anandpur Sahib, therefore there are no differences between us and it is necessary that we remain under the spirit of one family. He said that we should join each other in the joys and sorrows of each other and should directly help the needy families through Daswand. He said that if Sikhs are united, we can gain all the strength, but if we are not together, we will be poor
He said that Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji has made it mandatory for Sikhs to add Singh and Kaur to their names, but with time there is a trend that we are leaving this unique identity blessed by the Guru. He urged that every Sikh family should ensure that their children's names are added with Singh and Kaur and that only full names including Singh and Kaur should be popularized as per the Guru's tradition.
Jathedar Gargajj expressed concern that some youth in Delhi are straying from the path of Sikhism and going to bars with hookah and dance and singing, which is a grave sin because the Guru has forbidden this path.
He said that Sikh generals have achieved great feats on the land of Delhi. It was in Delhi that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, his fellow Sikhs Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji and Bhai Dayala Ji had sacrificed their lives to protect the religion while upholding the Sikh faith, but they did not accept the yoke of tyranny.
He said that in the past, Sikh elders in Delhi always kept the youth connected with Sikhism but at present there has been some relaxation.
Jathedar Gargajj urged Sikh parents, especially mothers, to protect their children from evils and tell them stories related to the history of the Guru and Sikh history.
He stressed on the need to spread religious propaganda in Delhi.
He said that the nation does not need to turn towards any worldly throne but needs to turn towards the Guru, which will lead to our progress.
He inspired the Sangat to become Guru Wale by taking the first sip of Amrit from Khande Bata.
Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj said that the British government interfered in the Guru houses and the Sikhs had taken back the keys of Sri Harmandir Sahib by staging a key morcha .
Even today, the keys of Sikh Gurdwaras are being snatched or have been snatched directly or indirectly, there is a need to be aware of this and the management of Guru Ghars should be done according to Panthic sentiments. Gurdwaras are the places from where Sikhs have to gain insight and if the management of these places goes to the unauthorized, then it will be a big blow to the progress of Sikhism and the dignity of Gurdwaras.
He said that the government has no right to interfere in any Gurdwara or Takht of Sikhs, this is the right of the Sangat which should remain intact forever.
Giani Gargajj also thanked all the Gurdwara Committee managers and prominent personalities of the city for organizing the event in Delhi.
