AMRITSAR: In the case of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana and other Bandi Singhs, who are facing the death penalty, during today's meeting of the Inner Committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, sharp questions were raised against the Government of India, while Sri Akal Takht regarding the entire matter It was also decided to send a report to Sahib.
Talking to the media after the meeting of the Inner Committee, Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the Government of India is deliberately oppressing and doing injustice to the Sikhs. A big example of this is the discrimination against the release of captive Singhs. Advocate Dhami said that this matter was seriously discussed in the meeting of the inner committee and it was generally agreed that a detailed report should be sent to Akal Takht Sahib in this regard, so that the Singh Sahibs would lead according to national sentiments.
He said that although the Shiromani Committee has been raising its voice for the release of Bandi Singhs for a long time and is taking care at all levels, but the sad aspect is that the Panj made by Sri Akal Takht Sahib regarding the cases of Bhai Rajoana and other Bandi Singhs. Despite the continuous efforts made by the membership committee. There was no positive response from the central government.
He said that in response to the letter sent to the Prime Minister to give time for the meeting, his office was asked to contact the Home Minister's office. After this, after correspondence with the Ministry of Home Affairs, at the beginning of February this year, the five-member committee was scheduled to meet, but the meeting was canceled a day earlier. Even after this, no response is being given on continuous contact. This negative attitude is not good. The Inner Committee of the Shiromani Committee strongly condemns this and the President will be asked for the last time to take a decision on the petition filed in the Bhai Rajoana case in the year 2012, along with making him aware of this.
He said that the Anthring Committee has increased the monthly honorarium of 20 thousand rupees given to the Bandi Singhs to 40 thousand rupees.

He said that the fear expressed by the Shiromani Committee earlier that the government would manage the Gurdwaras in Haryana in its own way is proving to be true.
He said that this Haryana Committee formed by splitting the Shiromani Committee has become a government committee instead of a sect. The Panth should strongly oppose this, so that the management of the Guru Ghars can be done according to the sentiments of the Panth.
