Ground Activities Week 15 to 21 June to be observed under Mission Fateh: Vinay Bublani

NAWANSHAHR: Under the public awareness campaign 'Mission Fateh' launched by the Punjab government to rid the state of Covid, ground activities would be organised  in the district from June 15 to 21.

 This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Vinay Bublani after handing over the responsibility of awareness activities to various departments during the meeting here today .  He said that the objective of Mission Fateh was to make the people aware about the precautionary measures taken by the government and the health department to prevent the spread of Corona virus.  He said that on June 14, the basic activities would be formally launched in one village of each subdivision.  After that on 15th June,   the ground activities under Mission Fateh would be officially launched by launching a door to door survey campaign by Asha workers in Balachaur sub division.

 Giving details of the weekly activities of the department, he said that apart from the above activities, on June 15, the district administration would also hand over the badge of Mission Fateh  to the Corona Warriors.  The badge wearing snaps will be sent to the district administration for uploading on the Cova app by the Corona Warriors wearing a badge and  a mask.  These Corona Warriors will include administrative, police, doctors, medical staff, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers, safai workers, NGOs, Sarpanchs, NGOs etc.  

This will be followed on June 16 by the Anganwadi workers wearing badges and visiting the homes of the Anganwadi children in their respective villages and motivating them to take precautionary measures against the Corona virus.  The Sarpanchs of the villages will meet the people of their respective  villages by putting up badges to make them aware of the important precautionary measures to be taken for the prevention of Covid on June 17.  The District Public Relations Office would launch a special awareness campaign in the district on June 18.   Such awareness activities by district NGOs will be carried out on June 19 in their respective areas by affixing badges.  The district police has fixed June 20 as the day to warn the people against Covid by affixing badges, while the city councils would conduct awareness campaign on June 21 through resident welfare committees, etc.

 Apart from this the Punjab Government would select the person / organization uploading their photo on the Cova app at the state level, the list of which would be sent to the district administration so that they would be encouraged through badges and t-shirts.  
 In this meeting DSP  Deepika Singh, Civil Surgeon Dr Rajinder Bhatia, Deputy ESA  Naresh Kapoor, G.O.G.  Chief Col. Chuhar Singh, BDPOs  Rajesh Chadha and Ishan Chaudhary, Lecturer Satnam Singh, CDPO  Puran Pankaj Sharma, DEGC  (Administrative Reforms) Kamal Kumar etc. were present.
