Four women among fourteen booked for assault, rioting

NAKODAR: The Nakodar sadar police have booked fourteen persons including four women on the charges of assault and rioting.The investigating officer(IO) and Uggi police post in-charge Sahil Chaudhari said that the accused have been identified as Pinki wife of Sukhdev, Ranni wife of Som Parkash , Rajani wife of Lavi , Neelam Kumari wife of Parshotam , Sukhdev , Som Parkash, Balwindar Ram, Kali, Mauji, Chandan, Gobind, Karan, and Paramjit all residents of Dhaliwal village .

Vipin Kumar a resident of Khiva village complained to the police that the accused ransacked his cattle shed assaulted and injured him and threatened him with dire consequences.

IO said that a case under sections 323, 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) 341(wrongful restraint) 436(mischief by fire) 448(criminal trespass) 427(mischief) 506(criminal intimidation) and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
