CHANDIGARH: With the motive to revive Punjab's old grandeur in the sports field, the first phase of ''Youth of Punjab" campaign will be launched on February 23 from Ludhiana.
Disclosing this here today, Punjab Youth Development Board Chairperson Sukhwinder Singh Bindra said that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had launched the campaign to provide sports kits to the youth of the state and the first phase of this campaign would be kick started from Ludhiana followed by Amritsar on February 26, SAS Nagar on March 3 and Jalandhar on March 5.
Mr. Bindra further informed that Punjab Youth Development Board is committed to make this State Level Campaign ''Youth of Punjab" a big success with a firm determination to extend its benefits to the youth at grass root level. He said that the Board has decided to distribute sports kits in four different districts of the state in the first phase so that the youth will stay away from drugs and keep its interest up in sports. The youth would hone their skills through these sports kits and to able Punjab to revitalize its glory at the international sports arena.
Chairperson also appealed to Youth of the State to stay fascinated towards sports and stay away from drugs. He said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Punjab Youth Development Board is fully committed for the Betterment of the Youth of the State.
