BATALA: Senior Trade Unionist and veteran Congressman M.M.Singh Cheema has strongly objected to the mischief being created by vested interest and propagated by certain leaders who are sitting on the fence and spreading the rumors of demanding a change in the leadership of Congress Party quoting a letter jointly signed by more than 200 Congress Leaders.In this hour of pandemic and social distancing where these so called 200 leaders met shying away from the watchful eyes of Indian media and congress workers.
Terming this move as a Hoax and step in the weakening of the Party and certain section of Media jumping the Gun by announcing this as a Breaking News of Smt.Sonia Gandhi has Resigned ahead of Crucial Congress Working Committee Meeting on 24th August 2020 has lowered the credibility of their respective organizations.
Mr.Cheema stated that Mrs.Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are the only universally accepted faces of Congress Party spread over every nook and corner of this great Nation and is a perfect glue to unite every congressman and showing the path of struggle to every countryman to fight the great in justice , NoteBandi, GST Fiasco, Covid 19 and Economic slowdown and nosediving GDP.
Mr.Cheema further stated that 1 ½ year have passed since Mr.Rahul Gandhi resigned requesting any Non Gandhi Family Member be elected as AICC President and Mrs.Sonia Gandhi reluctantly agreed to lead as Congress President till new President elected , every true and dedicated congressman has shown tremendous faith in Mrs.Gandhi to lead the party and this rumour mill started suddenly amidst National Crises of Covid19 when Mr.Rahul Gandhi is questioning the non performance of NDA Govt. led by Mr.Narendra Modi, how many opposition leaders dared or volunteered to take head on the arbitrary decisions and inactivity of Mr.Modi.
Mr.Cheema said this is a welcome sign that all Chief Ministers congress ruled states of Punjab, Chhatisgarh, Rajasthan and Pondichery has opposed any demand like this and further stated that This is clear case of diverting the issue with some vested agenda which every dedicated congressman will object and Gandhis are the only binding force and only people till now have the Mattel to counter the ill-conceived and un planned steps of NDA Government..
