PUNJAB NEWS EXPRESS | April 27, 2021 05:10 PM

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today told former minister Navjot Sindh Sidhu to choose the political party he wanted to join but speaking against party is gross indecipline.

Capt Amarinder Singh during an interview on Zee TV said that Navjot Sidhu was free to choose amy political party. He said that it was not possible to accomodate Sidhu in the posts of Deputy CM or PPCC president. He said that most of ministers in his cabinet were senior to Sidhu and working in party for decades. He said that whne Jakhar was doing good job how can he be replaced.

Capt Amarinder Singh said that if Sidhu was attacking his Chief Minister repeatedly, it means he wanted to go to some other party. Commenting on Sidhu's political activities in Patiala, Chief Minister said that if he (Sidhu) want to contest against him he is welcome. He will loose his deposit and see the fate of former army chief JJ Singh who contested on SAD ticket.

Capt said that Sidhu had limited choice because he was not in good terms with BJP and Akalis. Either he can stay in Congress or go to that party (probably refering to AAP).

It is recalled that Sidhu had in series of tweets attacked Capt Amarinder Singh on issue of illegal mining and Hogh Court judgement on police firing in Behbal kalan and Kotkapura police firing. He held Capt Amarinder responsible for adverse high court judgement since it was duty of home minister to give priority to court case.

Not only Sidhu, even PPCC president Sunil Jakhar had also raised questions on high court judgement and accepted that it was big embarassment for party.
